About the Host
Coming Home to the Dome

Gabe Vincent's basketball story runs through Santa Barbara. From 2014 to 2018, he spent four seasons in the Thunderdome — 113 games, 101 starts, and the foundation of an NBA career built on grit. Undrafted, he worked his way through the G League to earn a spot on the Miami Heat, eventually becoming a key contributor in their 2023 Finals run. After signing with the Lakers in 2023 and being traded to the Hawks at the February 2026 deadline, Gabe continues to prove that relentless work ethic pays off. Now, every year, he returns to where it all started to invest in the next generation of athletes.

"Santa Barbara is where I learned what it takes. The Thunderdome wasn't just a court — it was where I figured out who I wanted to become. This camp is my way of bringing that experience to kids who are where I was."
— Gabe Vincent
For two days each summer, Gabe partners with his offseason trainer Akachi Okugo and the Just Watch Sports team to deliver elite-level development to athletes in grades 4–12. Same court he played on. Same standards he holds for himself. That's the camp.
Lead Trainer
Meet Coach Akachi Okugo — The Trainer Behind the Player

Co-Founder, Lead Trainer & Player Development Consultant
Akachi Okugo isn't just teaching kids at this camp — he's the trainer Gabe Vincent works with through the NBA season and offseason. Co-founder of Just Watch Sports, Akachi has built his career developing professional athletes at the NBA, NCAA, and FIBA levels. When Gabe wants to sharpen his game, this is the gym he walks into.
Nike Hoop Summit invitee (2022, 2023). Egyptian Men's National Team at the FIBA World Cup. Hundreds of professional athletes trained globally — and now bringing that same player-development system to youth.
This is what makes the camp different. You're not getting a generic skills clinic. You're getting the exact development methodology that Akachi uses with NBA players — adapted for grades 4 through 12. Akachi designs the curriculum. Gabe trains alongside the kids. The Just Watch Sports team handles the rest.
