Gabe Vincent's basketball story runs through Santa Barbara. From 2014 to 2018, he spent four seasons playing for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos — 113 games, 101 starts, and the foundation of an NBA career built on grit. Now, every year, Gabe returns to the city that shaped him to invest in the next generation of athletes.

Each summer, Gabe partners with his offseason trainer Akachi Okugo and the Just Watch Sports team to deliver elite-level development to athletes in grades 4–12 at Santa Barbara High School. Same standards he holds for himself. That's the camp.

Meet the Team Running the Camp

Camp Director

Coach Akachi Okugo

Akachi Okugo enters his second year as Camp Director of the Gabe Vincent Skills Camp. Beyond this camp, he has spent years running skills clinics and training sessions throughout the Santa Barbara area in partnership with Coach Z and other local trainers — deepening his roots in the basketball community that Gabe Vincent calls home.

He isn't just teaching kids at this camp. He's the trainer Gabe Vincent works with through the NBA season and offseason. A founding force behind Just Watch Sports, Akachi has built his career developing professional athletes at the NBA, NCAA, and FIBA levels.

Credentials: Nike Hoop Summit invitee (2022, 2023). Egyptian Men's National Team at the FIBA World Cup. Hundreds of professional athletes trained globally — and now bringing that same player-development system to youth.

This is what makes the camp different. You're not getting a generic skills clinic. You're getting the exact development methodology that Akachi uses with NBA players — adapted for grades 4 through 12.

Technical Director

Chuks Iroegbu

Chuks Iroegbu serves as the camp's technical director, supporting operations remotely and bringing a player's perspective to camp design and logistics. A former NCAA Division I scholarship basketball player at Northern Illinois University, Chuks earned his B.S. in Economics there before going on to complete an MBA at CSU Monterey Bay.

A part of the Just Watch Sports team, Chuks has supported multiple JWS clinics and player development initiatives. While he won't be physically on-site this year, his role bridges basketball operations with the systems that power the JWS model.
